During the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top five film and television applications on the Android platform in Saudi Arabia showcased interesting trends. According to Sensor Tower data, the apps experienced varying patterns in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

STARZ ON from Playco Entertainment saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $5.1K in mid-August. Weekly downloads surged significantly in mid-September, reaching around 46.7K, while weekly active users also rose steadily, peaking at about 176.3K in the same period.

ﺷﺎﻫﺪ - Shahid by MBC Group exhibited a varied revenue trend, with the highest weekly revenue of approximately $116.2K in August. Downloads saw a peak of 31.5K in the same month, and active users fluctuated slightly, with a peak of approximately 178.9K in early September.

Viu: Dramas, TV Shows & Movies from Vuclip Mobile Video maintained a consistent revenue stream, with a peak of about $1K in late September. Downloads peaked early in the quarter at 23.1K, while active users showed steady engagement, peaking at approximately 178.9K.

MX Player, developed by Amazon India, did not generate revenue during this period. However, it sustained a consistent download rate, peaking at 18.4K in August. Active users remained robust, with a peak of approximately 631.8K at the end of September.

Netflix maintained a steady weekly download rate, with a peak of 18.5K in August. The active user count showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting at 252.3K and decreasing to 202.3K by the end of September.
